How to Discern God’s Will in Your Business (with Pastor Jake Cirigliano)

Podcast

The world tells you to trust your gut, follow your passion, or manifest your desires. But as believers, we have a better way. We’re called to invite God into our strategy, to seek His wisdom and align our plans with His will. But how do we do that practically, in the middle of a chaotic schedule?

In Episode 6 of The Called Entrepreneur Podcast, I invited a very special guest into the studio to answer that exact question: my husband, Pastor Jake Cirigliano.

  1. Commit to Pray: Start with submission and listening, not just speaking.
  2. Commit to Scripture: Let God’s timeless truth be the ultimate filter for your modern business problems.
  3. Commit to Seeing Reality: Humble yourself to see the facts of your situation, not just what your optimism or fear wants you to see.
  4. Commit to Godly Counsel: Be radically selective about who you allow to influence your decisions.
  5. Trust the Holy Spirit: Learn to recognize the peace that signals the Spirit’s leading.
  6. Trust God with the Outcome: Do your part in faithful obedience, and surrender the results to Him.

This conversation is packed with wisdom, but we wanted to give you a tool to put it into practice immediately.

That’s why we created the Discernment & Prayer Guide. It’s a free PDF that walks you through this 6-step framework, with journaling prompts and key scriptures to help you apply it to a specific business decision you’re facing right now.

Discerning God’s will isn’t a one-time event; my prayer for you is that this will become a new operating system for your leadership, business, and life. It’s the daily decision to trade the anxiety of guessing for the peace that comes from inviting God into your strategy. It’s the joy of spending time in prayer, getting to know the Father and tuning into His vision, mission, and plans for you. Then, the more you grow in relationship with Him, the clearer His guiding voice will become. It’s going to take intentional time, and even practice, but rest in this: He doesn’t expect a perfect CEO out of you, only a faithful steward. Trust the process, and more importantly, trust the One who called you.
